Eyes, Lips, Face (e.l.f.) unboxing
I had heard really great things about the Elf makeup and thought I'd buy some bits to see what they were like.
As you may know I have been on the lookout for a new concealer, so I picked up the HD Lifting Concealer in Fair and the Perfect Blend Concealer in Light Beige to give them a whirl.
I also picked up the Eyebrow kit as I saw a video by Jordi (itslikelymakeup) on YouTube, that suggested that the powder in the kit would make a good contour shade for pale skin and I am pretty pale, (I use 10 Porcelain in the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation). I also popped in my basket the Blush Palette in Light and the Illuminating Palette.
The products took about a week to arrive after ordering, which I didn't think was too bad, as they came all the way from Santa Fe. I was a little disappointed with the delivery packaging of the products, as they had just been put in a box with no packing paper or bubble wrap to stop them from sliding around and breaking in transit. However, with that said none of the products were broken thankfully.
As my order was over £25, there was a promo code that entitled me to a free gift of the Bronzer quad in Deep and a baked highlighter in Blush Gems. This promo has finished now, but there was another one that again if you spent £25 you could get the blush palette and a highlighter, the finish date for that one was 13/2/17 but it's still up on the website. Also if you spend over £25 you get free postage and packaging, which I always think is nice.
Even though the delivery packaging wasn't that great, I do have to say that the product packaging was very secure and well constructed. Maybe this is why there wasn't much delivery packaging.
I'll try out all the products over the next few days and let you know what I think in my next blog.
All the best
