Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr
One of my favourite You Tubers - Tati Westbrook - always goes on about how good the Colour Tattoo, cream eye-shadows are from Maybelline. So while I was out and about this Saturday morning I popped into Boots and Superdrug to see what offers were on and pick up a few bits.
In Boots there was an offer on, 3 for 2 on selected Maybelline products, including the Color Tattoo. I picked up Creme De Rose, Eternal Gold and Pink Gold.
The Creme De Rose is a matte finish and the Pink Gold and Eternal Gold are shimmers.
As you can see from the picture to the left, the Pink Gold and Creme De Rose, are pretty evenly pigmented, don't bunch or gather. The Eternal Gold however is a little less evenly pigmented and does bunch, however it does make a really nice inner corner highlight. The formulas are really creamy and spread nicely.
As you can see from the above pictures the Pink Gold goes on evenly, gives good colour pay-off and doesn't crease (they dry down really quick, so make sure you put the lids on nice and tight). The Eternal Gold however is a bit more sheer but does give a nice shimmer as an inner corner highlight as seen on my right eye with the Pink Gold creme on the rest of the lid. (Please excuse the rest of my face I was just trying the colours out on my lids, I hadn't done the rest of my face.)
All in all, I really liked my first impressions of the Color Tattoo 24hr. The colour range was good, but mostly in nudes and neutrals. From what I can see on Maybellines website there are 11 colours available, and only two are vibrant colours, Endless Purple and Turquoise Forever, which I could see being really nice and lasting ages, for going clubbing.
All the best
