Superdrug Self Heating Face Mask

Continuing the face mask theme today is the Superdrug Sugar and Spice Self Heating Mask.

The claims: Relax and embrace the rich and comforting Cinnamon and Vanilla aroma of this mask, while the gentle warming sensation helps to open pores and cleanses away impurities. Enriched with Mediterranean Clay and Caramel, this mask will brighten your complexion and leave your skin silky soft and smooth to the touch.

I removed my makeup and cleansed my face. I splashed my face with warm water and applied the mask.

I could feel the warming effect straight away. As you can see I looked a bit like a caramel apple - sticky!

One note of warning: you're going to want to wear a top you don't mind getting the face mask on, as the mask does not dry down and is very runny.

It did smell very nice and reminded me very much of Christmas, with the cinnamon scent. It's not overly potent, just a nice warming scent of cinnamon and vanilla. Because the mask was so runny I have to admit that a smidgen did get on my lips and I couldn't help licking them, it tasted like it smelt, but I would not suggest eating it if you can help it, I can't imagine it's very good for your stomach and it does say on the packet "For external use only, not for consumption."

If you don't mind the mess then this face mask is probably on par with the Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel with Active Charcoal mask I tried out the other day.

This mask is cheaper per sachet than the Boots one, but I would say that the boots one is worth the extra 20p pence, or even easier and cheaper get the squeezey bottle.

Hope your all have a great weekend.

All the best

XOXO
