Tea Tree and Charcoal Face Mask

I've decided that this week is going to be a week of face mask reviews. We started with the Nip + Fab Dragon's Blood Plumping Mask and Today is the Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel with Active Charcoal Facial Mask.

What the mask claims: This Intense Deep Cleanse Facial Mask contains antibacterial Tea Tree oil and skin calming Witch Hazel in conjunction with activated Charcoal to keep your skin clear and healthy. The power of charcoal removes dirt, sebum and impurities deep down in the pores, and re-balances oil to leave skin clean and purifies with a silky touch.

I applied the mask in an even layer to clean skin. I look like I've blacked myself up or the creature from the black lagoon (not a pretty sight), and left it on for 15 minutes.

The consistency of the mask is much like a mud based mask, but smells like tea tree (which I don't mind at all). I wouldn't really say that I saw any difference in the appearance of my spots, but my skin did feel wonderfully soft once I had rinsed it all off. The mask doesn't go like a mud mask either (all hard and cracked) , it just kind of becomes less sticky, like a skin has formed over the top, so that when you touch your face, your fingers don't come away with mask all over them.

TIP: do NOT use a white flannel or cloth to remove this mask, as it will leave a discoloured area behind in the material.

All in all, I would definitely buy this face mask again, it smelt nice and left my skin feeling really soft. I bought this as a single sachet which contained 10ml, however it is also available as a 50ml squeezey bottle which does work out cheaper, and there is currently a 3 for 2 offer on the Tea Tree and Witch Hazel range.

My next face mask review will be on the Superdrug Sugar and Spice Self heating mask.

Hope to see you all then, all the best
