Soap and Glory - Kick Ass Concealer
Although I quite like the Elf HD Lift Concealer, I'm still on the hunt for a great concealer, at a reasonable price, (£10 or less). I may have to just bite the bullet and splurge on the Tarte Shape Tape (£19) or the Younique Touch Mineral Skin Perfecting Concealer (£23), but I am still hopeful at the moment that I'll be able to find something that fits the bill, so to speak.
So the next in my line up of concealers is the Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer 3 piece camouflage kit.
It come in this compact, which is a really nice size (about 2 inches in diameter), for slipping in your handbag for touch-ups. It has two concealer shades and a setting powder. This concealer only comes in just two shades Light and Medium
The two concealing shades are on the bottom with a mirror on the underneath of the flip-up powder. It also comes with a little velour-like puff, for setting the concealer.
The under eye concealer is a matte cream, that is very peachy, which is great for concealing my dark circles. The face concealer is more yellow toned and when blended out is good on my blemishes. Powder has a slight white cast to it but nothing really noticeable.
The both concealers give good coverage, the first time I wore this it was only for a few hours and it looked good with no foundation and just a little Mac Mineralize Skin Finish. However, I tried this same set-up for all day wear and I found that the concealer creased under my eyes (Waah!).
I really like the colour on the under eye concealer. I'm going to give this one more go and set the under eye concealer with my Coty Airspun and see if this stops the creasing.
I will give you all an update ASAP.
All the best

P.S.
I tried this concealer with my Coty Airspun Powder and again it creased, boohoo!
However, I tried it again today (Saturday) with foundation underneath and I have to say it's held up really well with no creasing. I had decided to take my dog - Islay, (pronounced Eye-la) out for a long walk, but before leaving I had to prepare pulled pork for this evenings meal. So I did a bit of prep-work before heading off to a lovely Park in Cardiff called Roath Lake, where we had a lovely walk, we did have a few showers while we were out but nothing too heavy, Islay got muddy, as per the norm, and then made our way home.
I checked on the concealer a few times while we were out and it's done a really good job and I used the setting powder from the compact not my Coty Airspun.
All in all this concealer does best with a foundation underneath, without it the concealer just creases to all hell and back, but with foundation it stays where you put it and it doesn't crease. I'll definitely use this concealer again, but only when I'm going to be wearing foundation.
