Knight and Wilson Blonde Toner
As my regular readers will know, I bleach my hair platinum blonde. In the past I have used Jerome Russell Toners, to help get rid of the yellow and brassy tones in my hair after bleaching, and they work well enough. However, I have been contemplating going Rose coloured with my hair, as I have had Pink hair in the past and loved it.
So while I was out the other day I popped into Superdrug to have a look-see what they had. I found the Knight and Wilson Colour Freedom Blondes in Rose and White, and they were half price so I grabbed both.
Today I thought I would give the Rose Blonde toner a try-out. So I followed the instructions and washed my hair with a clarifying shampoo and didn't used a conditioner. Towel dried my hair and then used the toner and combed it through so that all my hair was the colour of the toner (blue), and left it for 30 minutes.
Once the 30 minutes were up I washed out the toner and dried my hair.
I am totally disappointed with the out come. Some parts are rose coloured but other are still white. I'm not sure if possibly I didn't used enough product or maybe it didn't comb though evenly. Who knows, but I now have patchy pink hair. SHITE!!!! does not cover it.
I think what I'll do is maybe tomorrow I'll shampoo my hair again and apply the toner as I would a dye and leave it 30 minutes but cover it with cling film and see how that turns out.
Hope this helps you decide what you want to do.
All the best
