Tarnishing my Platinum hair.
I wrote a blog about changing my hair colour to Platinum and I have to say that all the products I recommended at the time are still great. However, I read a few articles about Platinum hair going brassy and what those causes could be.
One of the causes was using a hair oil that had colour to it. I'm afraid to say that the Schwarzkopf hair oil, although I found very good was a golden colour. So with that I decided to hunt down a clear hair oil.
So there were loads of oils to choose from, but I didn't want to spend a fortune on one. So I spent a few weeks checking out what was available in Boots and Superdrug, plus a few other places. I eventually settled on the Garnier Ultimate Blends - The sleek prefector oil. It was a generous sized bottle at 150 mls and was on offer at Boots for £7. I also picked up the hair balm in the same range.
The hair oil is great, even better than the schwarzkopf hair oil. With the schwarzkopf hair oil, every now and again I would find that it could get a little bit sticky, nothing major but when I felt my hair it was noticeable to me. Now I haven't been using the Garnier one that long but the oil seems slightly lighter in texture but seems to give better conditioning.
I picked up the Garnier hair balm, as I was running low on the L'Oreal hair mask and thought it would be good to pair my conditioner with my hair oil. I have to say that the hair balm is a lovely texture and my hair actually feels really healthy.
I do tend to mix up my hair products quite often and pick up what's on offer that suits my hair, but hey-ho it means that I test out some really random stuff.
In the picture above you can see my new exfoliator, the Biore Pore Minimiser with Charcoal. I'm still testing this out at the moment but the review will be out next week sometime.
All the best xoxo
