September Faves
September just flew by and Autumn has well and truly arrived in South Wales, UK. It's gotten colder and my jumpers have come out of hiding, next will be my hats, scarves and gloves. I love a good walk, on a crisp Autumn afternoon with the leaves blowing, all wrapped up and feeling cosy, then to come home and have a mug of hot chocolate and cwtch (welsh word for being snuggled up together) up on the sofa with my dog and watch a film.
So on to my faves from September.
I have to say I have been on a bit of a Face mask frenzy through September.
I've tried quite a few from sheet masks, to masks that contain Gold, from Primark to Temple Spa. But I have to say that the 7th Heaven face masks, just for sheer range has to be my favorite.
Their peel-off masks are great for getting rid of dead skin and the Argan oil mask, smelt and felt wonderful on my skin. The one application sachets are great if your travelling and they have something for everyone.
As a very close second I would have to say that the Garnier Moisture Bomb Sheet masks work really well and leave my skin feeling wonderfully hydrated and plump but they only do the one type.
The eye-shadow palette from MAC in Warm Neutral is very good. It has a great range of shades and finishes. I find them easy to apply, and can build up the colour without it looking muddy, you do get a bit of kick back in the pan but nothing major. I've really enjoyed using this palette and can see me using it for the foreseeable future.
I got this little contour kit has I hadn't tried contouring before and didn't want to spend a fortune. At £3.50 it was a great little buy and I am loving it. It was a fabulous way to introduce myself to contouring without a huge layout, in the palette you get a contour shade, highlighter and a blush. I will definitely be trying out more of their range of makeup.
I'd never used a setting spray for my makeup before and I'm very much of the mind that I don't want to end up having paid a lot for something if it doesn't work. So as a try out I bought the NYX setting spray. And, I have to say that it has completely converted me.
At the beginning of September I started taking this multi vitamin to help with my SAD. I have to say I haven't had any major downers, but I did PMS badly about 2-3 days before my period started, but I was more aware of my mood than normal and was able to forewarn by partner to just stay away from me. But I have to say that my general mood has definitely been better than I usually feel when I notice that the nights are drawing in. So I'll keep taking it and hopefully it will really help.
