and the eye's have it!
On Thursday I went to a Business Expo at the Holiday Inn Cardiff. So I thought I would try out my new eyeliner and brow pencil.
Seen here with my new foundation and cream eye-shadow stick. (I'll be doing a review on those once I've tried them out.)
First off is the Precisely, My Brow Pencil from Benefit.
I got mine in number 1 as my brows are really fine and blonde to start with and didn't want to go OTT. My YSL pencil even though it was the lightest they had, was still a bit too dark and had a habit of flattening my brow hairs and sticking them to my skin (not attractive I can tell you.)
The Benefit pencil is an automatic pencil that twists up and as it twists back down the pencil clicks and self sharpens.
This was my first go with the Benefit pencil and my eyebrows are a little sparse at the moment, it took me a little bit of time to pencil in my brows using the pencil as it is very slim, however, I was very happy with the results. My brow hairs didn't get stuck down, they had more colour to them but still looked natural. Which was my exact aim so I have to say that I am very pleased with my Benefit pencil.
Now I know I did a review the other day on the NYX felt tip liner, but found that the fiber tip got clog with eye-shadow and seemed to stop working. So I went and bought the NYX gel liner and smudger in Jet Black, and I have to say that this is great. It went on really smoothly with very little fuss it my Bobbi Brown Eye Definer brush and gave very neat lines which were really easy to fill.
I think I need a little bit more practice with the gel liner and maybe a thinner brush for better precision but I am very happy for a first time application.
I would highly recommend both of these products. NYX gel liner is £7.50 which I have to say is a bargain for the amount you get and how little you use. Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil is £18.50 a bit more expensive but I'm on the look out for a dupe. If you know of any leave me a message in the comments and I'll do a review.
