Hot Cloth Cleanse

I've been reading up on hot cloth cleanses, here, here and here, as I'm teaching another Temple Spa Class tomorrow afternoon, and I have a lovely little friend to accompany me if I can't get rid of this pimple. So I thought it might be an idea to help open my pores and use the Purification mask from Temple Spa to help pull out all the impurities and help calm the skin down.

Basics of a hot towel facial.

Wash face.

Heat small towel and drape over face, leave nose free to breathe.

Leave for 10-15 minutes.

Then apply mask (masks require a minimum of 20 minutes to really do their magic)

Rinse off mask, tone, apply serum (optional) and moisturise.

We'll see if this helps. Be back in about 45 mins. xx

First I wetted the towel in warm water and it didn't seem hot enough. So I put it in a plastic bag and microwaved it for about 1 minute (this will vary depending on your microwave). then laid down and placed the towel on my face for 10 minutes while I listen to some music (Jack Johnson - In between dreams, if you want to know :))

Next I applied the Purification Mask from temple spa using the little spatula that comes with it.

This is what by better half calls "The Mouri".

Usually it's just my chin that I use the purification mask on as that is the bit that I have problems with the most, but as my little friend has appeared next to my nose I thought I would apply the mask to my T-Zone as it can get quite oily.

Once the mask was dry I washed it off with a warm clean face cloth, patted my face dry and applied Freederm gel "for mild acne and pimples", along with my usual moisturiser Moisture Matte from Temple Spa.

So we'll see in the morning if this little experiment hs worked or not. xx
