Going Platinum.
I'm in the process of trying to get my hair to a very white blonde - Platinum. I've found the perfect dye (Garnier Nutrisse Truly Blonde). Although I do find that my hair is a little dry afterwards.
The Anti-yellow conditioner that comes with the hair dye is very good but it only lasts for about 2 washes. Admittedly when I dye my hair I need to use two boxes as I have very thick hair and one bottle of dye is about enough to do my roots. So I do get two bottles of the conditioner which goes much further than the dye.
However once this has run out I do need a good deep conditioner to maintain the health of my hair. Along with a shampoo to combat the brassy tones that you can get.
So I invested in some haircare products to keep my locks in good health.
First I bought Pro:Voke Touch of Silver for Blonde, Platinum or White Hair. This was suggested to me by my mother who a few years ago decided to stop dying her hair and let her naturally white hair grow out. It is now an amazing silver colour, that she gets loads of compliments on.
The shampoo comes out of the bottle an indigo colour and lathers very nicely into a lilac colour, I usually wash my hair twice and leave the shampoo on the second time for a couple of minutes.
Once this has been rinsed out I use my conditioner. Once the conditioner from the hair dye has been used up, I use L'Oreal's Elvive Full Restore CICA-Masque. This helps repair, restore and condition my hair so that it feels healthy, shiny and silky.
Then before drying my hair I apply a few pumps of got2b Oil-licious from Schwarzkopf, to help tame and add shine to my hair. The oil is easily absorbed and doesn't leave a sticky feel to my hair as my previous argan oil did. I also use this oil once my hair is dry to help tame any fly away hairs and it doesn't leave my hair looking greasy.
I would definitely give all these products a very enthusiastic thumbs up.
Garnier Nutrisse Truly Blonde - 9/10 I do find that it takes two goes to get my hair to go white blonde, but it is much better than the others I have tried and the conditioner really works too.
Pro:Voke Touch of Silver Shampoo - 8/10 It's a very good shampoo for Blonde hair but I haven't tried any others. I'll probably do another review on Shampoo's for Platinum/ Blonde hair later on.
L'Oreal Elvive Full Restore CICA-masque - 9/10 Very thick in consistency, leaves my hair feeling silky smooth and easy to rinse out. I have tried other hair masques and this one seems great.
Schwarzkopf got2b Oil-licious - 10/10 A very nice textured oil, non-sticky, easily absorbed and has the "Ronson Seal" - Does what it says on the tin lol.
